The answer is...I have my reservations

Jason has asked me oh no wait he sent out a message to 3 people to ask if we wanted to get together for lunch.  You know how Facebook is...every time someone messages back it goes to all of the people you originally sent it to.  Soooooooo  The message was to Skylar, Annie, and Me.  Oh hell here I will just post the list of messages.

Alright, so can you guess why I have my reservations?  Because Annie ditched me last summer when she was supposed to drive to California with me.  Didn't even have the courtesy to pick up a phone and say she couldn't go or didn't want to.  You know that I really didn't care that she wasn't there.  I LOVED driving across country by myself.  Oh how I can't wait to do it again!  Skylar I have my reservations about too, but for an entirely different reason that is really completely stupid.  It would almost be ok to see her.

Anyway as you can see Jason made an effort to make me give an answer that I never gave him until just a few minutes ago.  We will see if I go or not.  I didn't say no.  I just said, "I have my reservations."  I did explain to him why I had my reservations.  He told me to just let him know if I decided I wanted to go.

My husband is sleeping over at Steve's house tonight.  Ha!

Ugh!

Now he is only watching him tomorrow and Friday.  Geez!  Make up your mind already!

RARRRRRR!

Sooo I totally changed my schedule this week, since Jack takes care of Woogs on Mondays and Tuesdays .  Today we went over to Jack's mom's house.  Jill calls and asks him if he will watch Woogs on Mondays and Fridays.  Jack says, "No, I am only going to watch him 2 days in a row."  Sooo now I think he is going to start watching him on Thursdays and Fridays.  :(  UGH!  Because apparently Woogs Granny can't watch him on Fridays.  She also doesn't want to watch him 2 days in a row.  Again I will say my mother in law cannot watch him by herself, but no one seems to care.  Mo told me tonight that there is no way she can watch him by herself anymore.  Her back hurts too badly after he leaves.  It just sucks because now Jack will be watching him Thursday and Friday two days that I alternate taking off of work.  That means I will be forced to watch my nephew on my day off of work if I want to spend anytime with my husband on those two days.  AND last Friday my BIL decided to not come and get Woogs after he got off of work because he had something to do.  No one called Mo to tell her, so she just waited and waited.  Anyway back to the fact that I changed my schedule this week.  I decided to close on Monday night, since Jack was supposed to be taking care of Woogs.  Now when I get off of work, I have to drive all the way to Chapmansboro after I get off of work tomorrow night!  UGH!

Ahhhh

I slept in the new King size bed last night.  Ahhhhhhh.  Well actually!  Apparently my husband didn't get the memo that the bed is huge because he was just as close as always.  I got up in the middle of the night, and I realized he was in the middle of the bed.  I still had a decent night's sleep nonetheless.  I did wake up with an aching back again though.  :(  I think it is just from staying still for so long at night.  I hope that tomorrow is a better day.  The pain slowly goes away the more I walk and move around.

We went to Whole Foods today and picked some stuff up!  We got fried tortilla chips.  The tasted just like the ones that they have at the OC fair!  I was soo (this is one of those instances where I wish I so was like to. Add an o for a different meaning!) excited to have a little taste of CA!  We also had their pizza.  It was awesome!

I took a 2 hour nap today which was wonderful.  I slept with my knees up, and I didn't wake up with a total aching back, so I can't help but wonder if I need to do that more often.  It is my big butt.  :(  (Oh genes)  It forces my middle back into the air if I lie flat on my back.  Perhaps a pillow under my back.  I don't know.  I really just think I pulled something at work, but I have been hurting so badly that I will try anything to not wake up like that again.  I like to get up and go in the morning and instead, I feel like an old lady and her achin' back.

Oh and BTW Whole Foods totally takes off money if you bring your own reusable bags with you.  Just so you know!  :)

Back to workin'

My phone is no longer going haywire, and it appears that my internet speed is back to normal!  YAY!

When you don't shave your legs for a very long time because your husband used all of your razors because he has none of his own, you learn how sporatic the hair on your legs really is (<---yep I just ended that sentence with is.  What's it to ya?!)

Sporatic....did anyone else learn the meaning of that word thanks to Clueless?  Just curious.

I am now getting my bed on Saturday.  It just keeps getting pushed back a day.  BOO!

Work was boring today, and then my back started hurting which made it even worse.  :(  My husband, of course, was ready to go somewhere right when I got home, so I didn't get to relax right when I got home.

I am about to get my coupons organized for a fun day of cheap shopping tomorrow.

Umm uhhh yeah.  :)

HI YA'LL

Well my phone is doing something crazy, so I will not be blogging other than this today.  I am at my MIL's house.  I am just sitting here waiting for Mo and Paul to get home, so Jack and I can leave.  Woogie should be leaving soon.  He is currently drinking out of a straw.

I will not be getting my bed today....sometime REALLY soon.

Chicken Lasagna for dinner.  Thank you Stouffers.

Clipped all of my coupons last night, but I still have to organize all of the food.

I am boring tonight.

I think I have failed to give ya'll this recipe...

This is soooooo good.  I haven't made it in a while, but I thought ya'll might want to try it.  :)

Veggie Pizza

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

• 1 (4-ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

• 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

• 1/4 cup mayonnaise

• 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons commercial buttermilk salad dressing mix

• 1 cup fresh broccoli flowerets, chopped

• 1/4 cup chopped celery

• 1/4 cup chopped carrots

• 1/3 cup sliced green onions

• 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper

• 1/4 cup ripe olives (optional)

PREPARATION:

Unroll both packages of rolls and form into a 12-inch square on a lightly greased baking sheet. Press edges and perforations to seal. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes; cool. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, and salad dressing mix; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth and well blended.

Spread cream cheese mixture over crust; set aside.

Toss chopped vegetables together in a bowl. Sprinkle vegetables over cream cheese layer. Cut vegetable pizza into squares and serve.

Makes about 24 slices of vegetable pizza.

It has been a few days..

I have been tired sorry!

On Saturday, I worked most of the day.  After work, I went to Katie's townhouse for dinner.  Oh ya'll TOTALLY missed it!  It was awesome!  Homemade pasta!  Ummm yes please!  Oh and did I mention that there was pumpkin cheesecake (made from scratch) involved?  Uhh yeah!  **Awesome** in a sing songy voice.  AND Katie is super awesome because everyone she invited had something similar in common!  We all went to Smyrna High at some point.  I was the youngin'.  Out of everyone she invited only one person wasn't able to come.  All in all I would have to say a very successful dinner party.  Nice one Katie!  Now I have another event invite on Facebook for a cookie and ornament swap.  I hope I can make that.  Not sure yet.

I have to make comments about two things that happened that day that I wrote down, so I would remember.

1.  Katie informed me that there was not a sign for her road because people like to steal it.  John Deere Rd.
2.  Misty complained about people wearing flip flops and tank tops during this time of year.
   -  I am guilty!  I will wear flip flops in the snow.  I hate wearing shoes!  I had a pair of awesome flip flops that lasted me for 5 years.  I mean 5 years of almost constant wear.  Seriously!  I wish I could find those Columbias!

I seriously think there is something going on with Jason (think baby shower that I didn't go to recently).  He added me as a friend on Facebook?  Did he delete me?  Did someone else delete me?  Did he get rid of his old accounts?  AND He has been on Facebook ALL DAY long.  He doesn't normally put up status updates.  Today, I swear he has put up like 25.  Strange.  His statuses have been strange too. He removed married off of his page.  He has no pictures of his wife. And he informed me that he had talked to Annie last night.  Like I freakin' care.  I am thinking the best thing to do would be to just ask. Ha

The hubby is at his mom's house.  He found out that last Tuesday his BIL aka Woogie's dad didn't come and pick him up because he had a baseball game to go to.  Soooo he left Woogs with Jack instead of coming and getting his responsibility!  Rrrrr.  Oh and then this past Sunday Rio had the nerve to say that he felt bad because he hadn't been able to spend any time with Rio (now ya see why we call him Woogie..confusing).  Ummmm hello?!  You have a kid that is your responsibility that you would rather put off on other people.  Ok..can you tell I am getting to the breaking point?  Jack and I made the decision that he would watch Woogie on Mondays and Tuesdays to help Jill and Mario out, so they could work.  Ok let me reiterate the so they could work not so they could play softball/baseball or go to a party.  It was also so that Jack's mom wouldn't have Woogie all by herself because she has a bad back/neck.  She should never pick him up.  I will put it that way.  Come to find out!  Last week, Mo had Woogs ALL week by herself because and I quote, "Rio's mom can't pick him up."  Ummmm what?!  Neither can Mo!  They totally take advantage of her.  She told me the other day that she could barely walk because she had to pick him up so many times.  Oh and (see there are all kinds of little stories that I really try hard to not talk about but it is coming out) the other night they went to a Halloween party and left Woogs with Mo.  She said he cried and cried and would not go to sleep, so she called Jill and told her to come and get him.  She comes to the house runs in gets him to sleep and then asks if she can go back to the party.  I am glad to report Mo told her to take him home.  Trust me there is a lot more, but I will spare you for now.

Super Cute Niece picture comin' your way!

Yep be jealous!  She is cute!  :)

Tag you're it!

I have been anxiously awaiting to see what I was tagged in today!  I got an e-mail that I had a comment on my blog about being tagged in Jess' blog.  You aren't following her yet?  Ya should be.  We all love our followers, and it always makes you feel better to see a new one!  Anyway here is how this tag thing works.

The girl who tagged Jess left her 4 questions to answer along with the instructions to tag four of her blogging friends and to ask 4 new questions of her own!

Here are the questions she asked me:

1. What novel has influenced you the most?
Wow!  I have an English degree, and I cannot think of one novel that has really influenced me.  This will take some thinking..on to the next question.....
Novels, short stories, and poems can influence you depending upon what you are going through in your life.  That is why so many people will tell you that you are never wrong in an interpretation of a poem.  If you can prove it with examples and explanations, then your interpretation is correct.  I know that has nothing to do with the question, but it is just my two cents.
A book that I read during my adolescence was called "It Happened to Nancy: By an Anonymous Teenager."  It was a girl's diary that was my age.  She meets an older guy at a concert and contracts HIV from him.  The whole diary is about her dealing with HIV.  That novel/diary (it was a true story) has always stuck with me.  I would like to reread it, but I know that it will not have the same affect on my now.  It is like going back and trying to read the diary that you wrote.  You read it, and you are not really sure why that upset you at the time or even what the big deal was.

2. What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toys were Barbies.  Cliche I know, but I still have ALL of my Barbie stuff!  No seriously!  It is all at my parents' house.  All of the dolls, all of the clothes, and the Barbie dream house (you know you always wanted one) are all packed up in the attic in Rubbermaid totes.  I actually left myself a note in one of my boxes to always remember how much my dolls meant to me.  Now that I have watched Toy Story 3, I cannot help but feel sorry for my Barbie dolls sitting in the attic just waiting for me to play with them one last time.

3. What's your dream job?
Dream job?  Ooooo  Honestly, I don't talk a lot about this because people think I am a little nuts.  I LOVE folklore.  I really want to go back to school to get my masters in Folklore, so that I can help preserve the Southern culture.  If you have never taken a Folklore class, you have no idea what that all entails.  Our inside jokes are folklore.  Terms you use at work that only people you work with would understand are folk speech.  Mailboxes can be folk art.  This is the part that people think I am a little nuts about, but headstones are folklore!  What people put on the headstones of their loved ones facinates me!  Why people have headstones.    I have pictures and a whole paper I wrote on it.  Ok, I better stop before I really get started.  Just know that whether you want to believe it or not you want to be immortalized, and a headstone is a great way to try.

4. What destination would you want to visit? Pick one that you've never been to before!
The Tower of London!  I want to go so badly!  There is so much history there!   I just think of all of the literature I have read over the years that has been inspired by that area, or the literature that is based on what actually happened there.  It is so interesting!

Here are my questions for my tagged bloggers!
1.  What do you want to be written on your headstone, and do you want a certain design?
2.  What are you passionate about?
3.  If a genie were to grant you 3 wishes, what would they be?
4.  What is the one thing that you truly love about yourself?

Ohhh who to tag, who to tag?!

My first will not really be a tag because I know that this blog wouldn't participate, but I just want ya'll to know about this blog if you don't already because it is really interesting.
PostSecret

Exhibit B-5 (a.k.a. Girl Dies)

Have ya'll seen this?  It looks pretty damn good, but it is most definitely fake.

Feel like something is missing?

I took my little weightloss counter off because it is totally not right.  Just so ya know.  Tennessee has made me gain some weight.  Damn southern cooking!

Wide AWAKE!

I am going to have to listen to my hypnotism cd just to fall asleep in a minute.  It works.

For some reason, some of my keys on my keyboard are sticking!  RRRRR

My brother in law is staying over tonight.  Luckily he didn't wait until he was plastered to come over!!  YAY!  That means the loudness has almost been a minimum tonight.

I am totally excited about using my coupons tomorrow at work.  I am soooo getting a good deal tomorrow!  I'll letcha know!

I yelled at my husband today because he wasn't listening to what I was saying.  I told him I needed to buy some oil for my car because for some reason it is low....ok it needs the oil changed.  I think I am over by about 2000 miles, and my car is old no it just has A LOT of miles on it (so I am pretty sure there is an oil leak).  Try like 175,000.  I know it is crazy, but I drive my car everywhere!  I love it, and I have had work done on it where it is practically new.  Oh!  Back to the yelling.  So I say, I am going to buy a couple of quarts of oil to tide me over until I get paid.  I will get my oil changed then.  I am just trying to save some money for the next week just incase God forbid something happens.  He doesn't hear this.  He says, "You need to get your oil changed."  I repeated what I said before.  He repeated his statement.  I yelled, "Are you not fucking listening to what I am saying? ....Etc"  I went into the OReilly's by myself, and when I came out he informed me how mean I can be, and I just said, "Well you should have fucking listened to me."

I totally think my BIL is going to swap us his California King for our Full size and a chair that we have.  That will rock!  A bigger bed!  Whoot!

I caught a side glimpse of myself in the mirror today.  It wasn't pretty.  I really need to get motivated.  I have been trying to make small changes, but I usually sabotage them by the end of the day.

Oh!  My hubby's interview today went really well!  So well infact that the manager said he was going to forward his resume to what they call a Team Lead.  He is going to recommend Management Training.  Watch...he will get put into the program and start out making more money than me.  Just wait and see.  :(

Must be in the water

Well I hope it is at least because one blogger is trying to get pregnant, and another finally is pregnant after months of trying!  YAY!  Congrats guys!  I am hoping, wishing, and praying for the best for ya'll!  YAY!

My husband and I will probably start trying when he gets a job.  BTW he totally has a job interview tomorrow!   YAY!  It is with my rival Walgreens.  BOO, but YAY!  I don't care where he works for now as long as he has a freakin' job.  He just sits at home all day long bored out of his mind, and he drives me crazy because he is ready to go somewhere right when I get home.  I just want to relax.

Have I really divulged to you about my frustrations with my husband watching our nephew?  I really should.  Soon something will really set me off about it, and I will definitely blog it up.  It is coming promise.

It is cold and rainy today.  I had hot chocolate.

OH!  I have to tell ya'll the good deal coming up!  The week after Thanksgiving grab the Sunday paper.  There will be a coupon in there for 4 dollars off a Gillette Proglide Razor.  Cut that coupon out and RUN to the nearest Rite Aid (better yet run to mine!  I order 75 of those things, so I need to sell them!)  Anyway.  They will be on sale for 9 bucks- your 4 dollar coupon.  Then after you finish ringing up you get a 5 dollar plus up (that you can use on whatever! Just use it like cash!)  That makes it FREE!  Whoot!  I can't think of any really good deals this week.  I'll let you know if there are any next.  I am sure I will have plenty of whatever is on sale.  I try to order the crap out of that coupon stuff because I have a ton of coupon ladies now...including the employees!

Did I vote?

Nope.  Sorry.  Didn't do it, but I totally should have BECAUSE women have only had the right to vote for 90 years.  Can you imagine being around 90 years ago and rejoicing in being able to vote.  I am making myself feel guilty for not voting.  I can only imagine what my great-grandmothers thought when they found out they could vote.  I wonder if they even cared...

My hubby is back from his mom's house.  YAY!  A warm body in the bed next to me tonight!

I clipped coupon galore last night.  Yep, I am becoming one of "those people."  I promise if I don't really need it, I will donate it or give it to someone who wants/needs it.

Sons of Anarchy just started, but I am waiting for it to be almost over.  I don't want to watch the commercials.

Check.

I got two new shoes put on my car today.  She loves 'em.

I miss my hubby.  It has only been two weeks, and I can tell you already that I hate Mondays without my hubby.  Sunday and Tuesday are not so bad, but Monday if I want to see if I have to drive ALL the way out to Chapmansboro.  That is a long drive.  A long drive I could not convince myself to make today.

The most interesting part of my day was that one of my customers left me an early Christmas present.. a coffeemaker.  I will use it to make tea.  :)

Happy Halloween!

If you had the pleasure of reading my "accidental" post yesterday, just know that conversation was something I have needed for a long time.  I may repost it if ya'll are super curious.  I will just make sure that the person's name is totally deleted.

It is HALLOWEEN!  Whoot!  I had a few trick or treaters.  At one point, I had about 20 all at once.  I wore my devil horns all day long, and I tried to avoid sneezing as much as possible.  Ha!  **Saying bless you helps keep someone's spirit inside his/her body.  My spirit must be begging to get out because I sneeze about 25 times a day.

We went to Zanies last night.  Rich Guzzi was there!  We um I had a blast.  It was hilarious.  My husband, however, became part of the show.  HAHAHA!  Love it!  Oh!  I forgot to mention perhaps (or maybe I did...I mean I forget what the hell I said on previous posts all the time)  that Rich Guzzi is a hypnotist.  As a matter of fact, he hypnotized me last year before I went to California.  Last night his girlfriend kept coming over to me to make sure that I wasn't going under because she could tell that I was about to.  Apparently, it is easier to go under the second time.  Anyway...Jack went on a tropical vacation and got hot soo hot and soo drunk and soo high.  He went on a roller coaster ride.  **I totally thought he was going to have a panic attack during this time**  He became a Chinese rapper.  He became part of the laughing police.  He was the chief.  He was a stripper.  He did an informercial for the Jizzwow.  Needless to say, a fun time was had by all!  :)

ssssoooo ccoooooollllld

My body is still on California temperature, so the fact that it is currently 67 degrees in the house is absurd.  I refuse to turn the heat on though!  I am just not ready for it, so I am curled up on the couch with a blanket, comfy clothes, and my super awesome dollar socks from the Rite Aid.

We have just kind of done whatever today to stay out of the house.  We did go to Whole Foods today to get there Honeycrisp Apples they had on sale for 1.49 a lb.  We (of course) bought more than that.  I HAVE to get my cheese!  I am even trying to get them to start carrying Beemster Gouda!  OH PLEASE OH PLEASE!  It is soo good.  It has these magnificent protein crystals in it.  Ok ya'll have no idea what I am talking about.  I am a cheesie you know this!  You will just have to come cheese tasting with me.  The Unikasse Gouda we have been eating just isn't the same.  We did grab a couple of different cheeses this time.  I think one of them was a gruyere (it has a fruity flavor) and the other ummm some super intense blue cheese (definitely belongs on a super yummy chuck eye) OHHHH  I haven't told ya'll about chuck eyes.  Ok next time you are considering buying a ribeye from the grocery store check and see if they have a chuck eye too (don't worry they are super cheap compared to ribeyes).  Cook it the same way, and be prepared to be amazed!

I have a hot date tomorrow with Charlee (yup, female) and ex boyfriend Kristoffer.  I would prefer it be just the girls, but he is the one who mentioned it.  Oh well.  We are going to eat lunch at Cheddar's.  I haven't eaten there since before I left to go to California.

FINALLY!

Today is Thursday!  Let the three day weekend begin!  WHOOT!

We went to see two movies tonight.  Hereafter and Paranormal Activity 2.  I was not impressed with either.  If you like PA1, you will probably like 2.  I thought the first one was horrible, but we still thought we would give the second one a chance.  2 is a prequel to 1.  Hereafter wasn't so bad, but I still just wasn't totally impressed.  It was one of those that tells 3 different people's stories, and then shows how they connect.

Now we are at home relaxing.  I just hope I get a decent night's sleep.  My husband is having night terrors.  This means that about every hour and a half he yells in his sleep.  This wakes me out of a dead sleep.  I have to reassure him, and then he falls immediately back to sleep.  The weird thing is that he NEVER remembers talking to me when this happens.  He asks me the next morning if he was yelling in his sleep the night before.  The other night he literally yelled, jumped up, scrambled to the floor, and fell right back asleep.  Sometimes kind of creepy.

Aunt Flo is here for a visit.

What a bitch!  In honor of her being here, I have been researching different menstrual protection.

Let us begin with the usual disposable pad and tampon.  Ya'll already know all about those, so here is an old Kotex advertisement to make you laugh!  :)  I actually wrote a paper about Kotex in one of my college English Classes!  Oh how I wish I still had that paper and those ads.  I can only imagine Dr. McCluskey's face when he realized I chose Kotex for my advertisement paper.  Hahaha.  I miss looking at that man.

Wow we have come a long way!  Really "To Save Men's Lives?"  I would like to thank Kotex for being the very first company to come out with pads.  How did these magical disposable creations come in to being you ask?  Well one of our favorite companies Kimberly Clark made a ton of bandages for WWI for the nurses to use.  These same nurses decided to try these very same cellulose bandages for sanitary napkins, and Kimberly Clark realized that this was a great idea and marketed it!  Kotex stands for Kotton like Texture.  They called them that because they didn't think that clerks would snicker about it when asked for them.  BUT here is the kicker!  They didn't really start selling well until women had the option to put money into a box without speaking to a clerk in order to get a stack of them off of the counter.  I bet men nowadays would really appreciate this option!  There, perhaps that is something that you didn't know about those pads.

What I like about these ads is that at this point, tampons were for the light days of your period.  While this is a Kotex tampon ad, Tampax was the first company to produce tampons (and so begins the journey to getting to insert pearls once a month!  Wearing my pearls around my neck and in my cooch.)  Guess who invented (excuse me patented) these things?  A MAN!  Of course!  That is why it took so damn long for us to catch on!  They have actually been around since the ancient Egyptian times, but I don't find that part very interesting.  Something about shoving papyrus...yeah you get it.  Anyway back to the man!  He invented it, but he sold the patent to a chick we should all name our first born girl after Gertrude Tendrich (yeah, maybe not).  She did found the Tampax company!  YAY Gertrude!

YAY!  We can "experience a comfort and an assurance of daintiness!"
Can you imagine these ladies opinions of us these days?!  I mean a lot of us are more than happy to bitch about Aunt Flo or being on the rag.  They would definitely not consider us very ladylike.

On to another form of protection!  I have to admit ladies.  I have tried this one.  This is a disposable cup.  You use it Instead of a pad or tampon (enjoy the pun. I know I did.)

I know, I know!  You want to know what it looks like.

They say you can wear these for up to 12 hours.  They say you can have sex with this thing in.  I don't know if I would be willing to try that.  I did tell you that I have tried this thing before.  Honestly, it is really not that bad......until you go to take it out.  It is a bloody mess.  (I think I have told ya'll about this before)  Since we are on the discussion of this disposable cup, I have to tell you about my research that I have done tonight.  There are actually reusable cups!

I introduce you to The Moon Cup

This baby is supposed to last you 10 whole years.  You just keep reusing it.  Think of all of the money saved.  This baby will run you about 20 (-35) bucks.  They claim it is not a messy removal, but I imagine it takes some practice.  I hate to say it ladies, but I would seriously consider trying this BECAUSE you have 3 months to decide if you like it.  There is a money back guarantee.  They also have two other types of these things called The Diva and The Keeper.

Gladrags however, I will not try.  I think it is just the name.  It sounds like I am using a reusable gladware container called a rag.  Gladrags are reusable pads.  Yes.  You can wash your pads with your clothes.  YAY!  No.  One person suggests to leave a container with cold water, borax, and Dr. Bronner's Soap, so you can throw your used pads in it.  I don't know how you would ever explain that to an unexpected guest who has to go to the bathroom immediately when they get to your home.  " I am trying to save the world one pad at a time."  "Hey, at least our future family won't find a floating island of pads that I used."
And there ya have it ladies.  Your menstrual protection choices.  :)

Totally got a yellow.

I got a yellow on my audit.  I am thankful.  I would have preferred a green, but oh well.  It is soooo much better than a red.  Shoooooo

My husband is home tonight.  Thank goodness.  Missed him.

I had the strangest day.  When I got to work, the alarm hadn't been set the night before.  Then around 8 a police officer showed up at my store saying that someone had made a call from my store.  They thought the person who was on the line was in the midst of a struggle.  Um yeah, no.  Neither of us had even touched the phone.  Then all of the bad storms that were supposed to hit us totally missed us.  I was kind of upset.  I wanted the storms.  I was hoping the electricity would go out then I would have a good excuse to do absolutely nothing.

Ugh!

The fucking Field Auditor came to my store tonight at 7 pm while I was not there!  Asshole!  Who does that?  This means that I got a phone call because they were looking for stuff that they couldn't find that was out in plain freakin' view!  Now I am WIDE AWAKE because I want to know if I passed my audit or not.  I have to wait until 7 in the morning to find out!  UGH!  Bastard!  I just keep going over in my head a checklist.  I should have passed, but I am still concerned.

I was sooo tired when I left my Mother in Law's house.

Oh did I mention in my previous post that Jack has volunteered to watch our nephew two days a week until he finds a job?  Yeah.  This means that I have to go without my husband from Sunday night until Tuesday night.  :(   I miss him.  He is staying at his mom's house those days.  I did inform him that he would ONLY be watching Rio while they are at work, and NOT for anything else.  They have a lot of extra curriculars that they do.  That is all I will say about that.  ;)

Slacker at your service

Soooo let's see.  Um wow long time no write.

Went to the G'burg.  While we were there my husband said a whole bunch of, "I don't want to do this, this, this, etc." When he finally said he wanted to do something.  I said, "No, I don't want to do that." :)

I of course have been working.  Ummmm

The one year anniversary of my grandmother being killed in that wreck was Friday.  I was ok until I started reading Facebook statuses in my office that morning.  I just started bawling and had to make myself stop.  Whenever I think about her death, then I start thinking about my granny passing away.  Even though that has been 11 years ago it is still fresh in my mind too.  On this subject, I feel obligated to tell you something that I believe.  I believe that when a person passes that they go and check on all of their family members and try to comfort them in someway.  I will begin by telling you what happened last year after my Nanny was killed.  I will be 100% honest.  I was not really close to my Nanny.  If you knew my family (or maybe you do), you would understand.  I have a ton of cousins, second cousins.  This side of the family is LOUD.  Ok, um that may even be an understatement, but I think everyone is always closer to one set of grandparents.  That being said I really don't have a ton of memories of just me and my Nanny, so there is not a lot that I would see as a sign persay of her being close by BUT on the day of her funeral.  The day I was feeling so entirely guilty because I could not afford to fly home, so that I could be at the funeral.  I was in the stockroom of the Tustin store, and at the time the funeral was starting, two different songs played.  The first song NEVER plays on Rite Aid radio.  Heat Wave.  You may be asking yourself what on earth this would have to do with my nanny, so here you go.  When my brother Matthew was little, we were over at my nanny and papa's house.  My nanny had this little Valentine's Day stuffed animal that sang Heat Wave.  Matthew loved that thing.  He played it over and over and over, and he would dance.  When that song played on the radio, I knew she was with me letting me know it was ok I wasn't there.  The second song that played was I will always love you.

I have never told anyone this before in fear of being thought of as crazy, but after my granny passed away I remember lying in bed and crying my eyes out.  I was really close to her, and her death was (and honestly still is) one of the hardest things I have ever gone through.  While I was lying in bed crying, I felt something that totally caught me off guard.  I felt a hand on my back for a split second.  I KNOW it was her.  I know because I felt her around me all of the time during the days after her passing.  I had a necklace that I wore during this time that I would reach for and almost every single time I would reach for it, it would just fall off like someone had undone the clasp for me.  My dad had been looking for a metal matchbox that he had as a kid that he KNEW he had at the house.  He told me that one day he was in his parents' bedroom, and something told him to use the key to the box that he had at home on the box that was in my grandparents' bedroom.  When he opened the door, there was the box he had been looking for.

WOOOOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOO!

**Frantically waves hello to follower**

WooooHoooooo!  I am off of work for the next 4 count 'em 4 days!  Hot damn!

I did everything possible today, so that they wouldn't call me the whole time I am off of work!  Here is to hoping that the Senior VP over LP does not walk into my store Friday!

So here is part of our itinerary...

We are going to leave Friday instead of Thursday.  We are going drive until we get to Knoxville.  Then we are going to go to the ZOO!  Whoot!  It will be free sans parking, since we are Nashville Zoo members!  Whoot!  I knew that membership would come in handy!

Then we are going to drive to the Ol' G'burg!  YAY!  I, of course, will probably update you daily.  :)  Your welcome ahead of time.

Oh!  BTW!  I cannot believe it has been that long, since you have been to G'burg Misty!  WOW!  You will be amazed how much has changed the next time you get over that way.  You should totally take Ella for an overnight girl's trip.  :)  OOORRRRRRRR  Ummmm hello!  Mini blogging convention in G'burg!  Not soon though..gotta push it to the future.

Just Surprised my Husband

Ok, so I really didn't want to tell him until Thursday or even Wednesday night, but I went ahead and told him.  He threatened to run around Shoney's in his skivies if I didn't tell him.  I believe him too.  I know he would have.

I am taking him to the Ol' G'burg!  WHOOT!  We have been talking about going ever since we moved back from California.  I finally decided that we could afford going for a couple of days.  Since his birthday is Friday, I figured this would be the perfect time!  YAY for a "spur of the moment" G'burg trip!

Sunday

*In fear of Misty not reading a reply to her comment on my last blog.  I only point you out because it is nice to know that I am not the only one who is nosey on Facebook!  I just can't help myself!  :)

I worked all day today.  Oh btw Gain dish detergent is free with a coupon, and there are a crap ton of Freebates this week!  :)  My coupon ladies were so happy that I had it all up front, so they didn't have to go search.

My mom called this morning to tell me that she was coming over, but since I was not there I told her to just go ahead and go in.  I then immediately called her back to tell her that if she went into the bathroom that she should just ignore the book laying in there.  It is one of those "What to Expect When You are Expecting" books, so I reassured her that I am not pregnant.  I didn't need a "Is there something you need to tell me" phone calls.  Geez I sound like a freakin' teenager. HA

Is it Wednesday night yet?  I am so ready for a long weekend off!  Hell sleeping in Wednesday morning sounds good.

Saturday!

So I worked...I skipped a baby shower that I really really (promise) wanted to go to...watched the Bama game....definitely should have gone to the baby shower...I can't believe I missed it.  I feel like such a bitch.  I mean how many times have I told you that out of 40 people I invited to my bridal shower only 6 people showed up.  What did I do?  I didn't show up to someone's shower.  I hope it went well.  I am still going to get them something because I feel like a total bitch for not going.  Ok, so part of the reason I did not go was because my friend's wife really does not like me (at least I don't think she does).  Who can blame her?  He told me that he was either going to marry me or her.  He chose her, and I would have never married him anyway.  :)  I really thought that his wife would feel better about me after I got married, but I still don't think she likes me.  I am going to buy some stuff that they did not get (according to the registry of course), and run it over to their house.  Oh and ummmm have I already told ya'll that he is naming his kid after Lost characters?  Yeah...Desmond Michael....I loved Lost, but not enough to do that.  Oh nosey Misty...click here  I know you want to know what these people look like.  :)

Anyway after the game was half way over, my husband and I ran over to David and Joyce's apartment.  David's birthday was yesterday, and Jack told him we would come over today.  He was very happy to see us.  Jack and David have been friends for a very long time.  David is very strange.  I say that with all the love in my heart because he really is a great guy just very very strange um different.  He likes to say things that will piss people off.  You know the type.  Actually you might not because I can honestly say that I don't know ANYONE like him!

Oh!  I found out ex-boyfriend Kristoffer has a girlfriend FINALLY!  YAY for him!  I am glad to see that he seems to be happy.  She is a year younger than me.  I kept telling him to stay away from the really young girls.  He is 30, so her being 25 is not so bad.  Actually I am assuming her age by the year she graduated on her Facebook page because I too am nosey on Facebook.  I think we all are.  We just don't talk about it.  Ha!

Everyone is getting back on the weightloss thing, so I am too damn it!  I totally feel left out, so just consider be back on the bandwagon next Thursday.  No seriously, my husband informed me that he had decided that he wanted to start eating better.  I get paid next Thursday, so I can freely go to the grocery store without worrying that I am spending too much.

Oh!  I forgot to tell ya'll!  We did go to Zanies the other night!  It was GREAT!  Killer Beaz is freakin' hilarious!  AND My brother in law was so appreciative that we went out with him on his birthday.  He said that it was really great, since he doesn't have a significant other to spend it with, it was nice that we thought to invite him out.

Day off

Well, I say "day off," but I was in Cookeville for about 3 and a half hours today.

Two of my fellow bloggers have decided to get down to the nitty gritty on losing some weight, and I just hope I can get some motivation to do it too.

My husband wants to go to Zanies tonight, but I am not entirely convinced that I want to go.  I wish I could just send him and his brother.  It is his brother's birthday today.  Jack's is next Friday.

I'm boring today.  :*(  Sorry.

Wednesday

I just got home from a fast night at work.  My husband, I assumed, was in the bathroom.  After about 20 minutes, I began thinking that he was spending WAY TOO MUCH time in the bathroom.  I knocked.  He told me I could come in and WHAT was he doing?!  He was fucking shaving his head!  Umm, yeah.  He has been growing his hair out for a very long time.  I liked it longer.  Now it is shaved again.  It's ok I guess.  I would have appreciated a forewarning.

I totally tried to take a picture of the crazy hair lady!  No, seriously.  How to describe how to describe......umm  Ok.....her bouffant it is teased like 6 to 8 inches above her head.  She has a little clip on the top to hold some of it back.  She has these ummmmm  well on guys they call them porkchop side burns, but hers are actually hanging like hair would.  They cover her ears.  Her hair is probably to the center of her back.  Ok this description does not do her disasterous hair justice.  I swear one day.  I am going to snap a picture of her.  Ya'll will just die!  This lady is definitely stuck in the countrified 60s.

I get to drive to Cookeville tomorrow morning.  Bleech!  I would rather take the day off.

Box of Krispy Kreme

Dear Box of Krispy Kreme Donuts,
I should not have bought you.  Already 4 of you have mysteriously gone missing.  I hope the next 8 stick around a little longer, but I really doubt they will stay around more than another day.
      Sincerely,
          Undercover Donut Eater

I'm slacking! I apologize!

I haven't written in forever, nor have I finished the rest of my jury duty blog.  :(

I finally got a weekend off this past weekend.  Thank GOD!  I needed it so freakin' bad.  I have two shift supervisors at work that both could not come to work for a couple of days, so I got stuck working a double twice in one week.  BTW.  I know ya'll are thinking I should have just made them come in, BUT one had a doctor's note, and the other has a spasming back and went to the doctor yesterday.  Bleech!  I totally need people that aren't in aching and sick all of the freakin' time!  I wish one of my shifts would just retire already.  If you are sick almost all of the time, you need to make the decision to stay at home.  Her husband is retired and surely she could too.  I have a cashier that is coming back to work after however many days gone.  I wish he would just retire too.  I don't look forward to having him back at work not able to do anything except for ring people up.  I would rather have Renee there.  I am hoping that he decides that he can't stand up that long after a couple of weeks.

I am finally finished with jury duty.  YAY!  NO MORE!  I am sure I will get the displeasure of serving again in 3 years.  I almost got picked last week to be on a jury that would last a couple of days, but I was the last kicked off of the jury.  Ok, so honestly, I didn't mind sitting on the jury.  The only part I did not like was the decision making.  It is very stressful, and I could not sleep at all even after the decision was made.  At the time the decision is made, you feel like you are making the right decision.  The next day you begin second guessing yourself.  It took me a long time to be at peace with the decision.

My husband has had two strange occurences in the house and both times the dogs went crazy barking.  The first was the accordian door between the kitchen and the spare room just pushed open by itself.  Then today, the front door opened on its own while Jack was sitting on the couch.  Creepy, but not creepy.  I have yet to have anything happen here to me, but I have had very weird things happen to me before.  Feel free to ask.

I went to McDonald's earlier, and I got a color changing straw.  I was amazed when I looked down at my straw.

Whoot!

I got a freakin' bonus!  WHOOT!  They told us it would be in gift card form, but it arrived in my mailbox as a check.  The downside is that they took freakin' taxes out of it!  UGH!  My 200 bucks went down to 134!  <-- Crazy!

My boss came into my store today.  I mean why not right?  I was off of work all week due to jury duty!  Luckily, we are almost back on track.  My store did not look like the total disaster it was just a few days before.  I got a green!

I called about jury duty today, and I DON'T HAVE TO GO tomorrow!  Hot damn!

I bought my hubby a game for his birthday that is in October today because he really wanted it.  I told him I would get it for him now, since I got my bonus.  He traded in a couple of games too, so we got NHL 2011 for about 38 bucks.  The rest of the bonus is going straight into something for me.  I just don't know what yet.

The verdict of the trial was put on TV today.  Here is the link nosey ladies if you haven't seen/heard it yet.

Jury Duty-Day 3 will follow this, so if you are reading that it will follow shortly after this post is made.

Jury Duty-Day 2

I failed to mention in the previous post that rape of a child in Tennessee means any miniscule amount of anything (body part or foreign object) that goes into a girl's vagina is considered rape.  It can be .00000001 of an inch, and it is considered rape.

I also failed to mention that the little girl says that she did not tell anyone about it.

Day 2 consisted of a lot of in and out of the jury room too.  Day 2 was the day that the grandmother took the stand.  Her name was Cindy.  She was on the stand the WHOLE DAY!

They asked her many questions about her financial status.  When you go to court, they pull everything they can about you.  Bank statements included.  I know how much this woman makes, that she has two houses (one of which is in foreclosure because she cannot afford it with only one income),  she has a savings account that is separate from the joint account,   I know the the agreements in her prenup,  I know how much money he spent out of their joint account while out of town.

Here is her story

Her husband (the defendent) had been in Texas for a long while because he had been injured in a motorcycle accident.  While reviewing the bank statements, they show us how much money he spent while out in Texas.  His food purchases looked like enough for two people if you ask me (no one every brought this up).  She had injured her back at work, so she claims she hadn't seen her grandkids in a long time.  When he came home, he wanted her to find his medicine.  He has herpes and hepatitis C and needed his medicine.  She also says that he wanted to see the grandkids.  She tells him that she doesn't want them to come over because she cannot help take care of them.  She wouldn't even be able to change the youngest one's diaper.  She says he called and made the arrangements for them to come over.  *He has also made the decision to have a party at the house that day for Labor Day (this was last year).  She says she didn't want to have one and that he asked her to go to the grocery store with him, and she refused.  Later she says that she went with him.*  He leaves to go get the girls early in the morning.  He comes back home.  Everything seems normal.  S comes into her nana's bedroom to tell her hi.  The party ensues.  It is mostly the defendant's family that comes over.  Around 11 after almost everyone leaves, she begins to help S change into her pajamas in her bathroom.  She says that S starts to cry and tells her about Peepaw touching her (she does not mention the masterbating at this time).  She gets very angry and finds her husband upstairs and tells him that they need to talk.  They go outside.  She says, "She told me what you did."  He throws his hands up and says, "I messed up.  Can we just keep this between ourselves?"  She does not ask him what he thinks she is talking about.  No one asked her if she did either, so that left that up in the air.  She tells us that she gets the youngest girl from her son's room and takes S, little sister, and herself and locks them all in the bedroom.  She doesn't ask him to leave the house.  She couldn't even tell us if he actually stayed at the home that night.  Someone takes the girls home the next day.  Nana does not inform S's parents of what happened that day.  She claims that she was afraid of what her son would do, and she wants to wait until the defendant is out of town to tell him.  She does however tell 3 people.  Her ex husband and two other people.  Fast forward to another day 20 days later.  Nana is getting S ready for bed again.  S tells her about the masturbation.  Nana calls the ex husband.  They make the decision to tell S's dad.  She cannot remember who told him (the ex husband or herself), she cannot remember if the girls were there that day.  She says he is furious.

The second person on the witness stand is Cindy's (Nana) neighbor.  She says yes they did have a party.  She was not there though.  She also says that the day after the party, Cindy comes over and has a conversation with her that makes her feel that she should watch the house (You cannot say what someone else said while on the stand because it is considered hearsay).  Cindy seemed really distraught.  Later that night, Cindy called her and told her something that shocked her, and she understood why she should watch the house.

3 more days to go!

Jury Duty-Day 1

I am going to try to break this down into days.  I just really think that it will help me mentally deal with this jury duty thing.  I had no idea how mentally taxing it would be on me.

9:00- The beginning of the day.  The judge picks names out of a cup to see who will be forced to endure Voir Dire with the attorneys.  This time I am chosen.  I was one of the last 6 chosen.  The assistant DA for the state starts with her questions.  Has anyone ever lied?  Oh let me rephrase that, "Who here has never lied?"  As I look back on it, I wish I would have raised my hand.  One man raised his hand.  He claimed he had never lied because he was afraid God would be angry at him.  Whatever dude!  I am sure at some point in your life you have told someone that you were "fine" when really you weren't.  I also wish that I would have wore a shirt with Bejamin Franklin on the front with a bandana around his mouth, and on the back it would say, "I have the right to bear arms."  I wish I would have worn  a suit.  I wish I would have lied and said I had a couple of doctor's appointments that week.  ANYTHING to get me kicked off the jury!  Anything to not have to deal with all of the mental anguish I have been going through for the past week!

Back to the Voir Dire.  They also inform you a little bit about the trial and ask if you think you will have a problem being on a jury for whatever it is about.  This one trial is the State of Tennessee vs.  FRH.  He is being accused of raping a 6 year old.  They ask us if we will be able to understand that she is 6 and may not be able to remember everything.  That there is no physical evidence in this trial just words.  Will we be able to handle that?  What do we think a child rapist looks like (yes, Misty I will post a picture.)?  Is there anyone there that had experienced something like that personally?  Yadda yadda.  When Voir Dire is over the attorneys begin to make their decisions who to cut.  They start with 40 people.  I did not verbally answer a single question.  They cut and cut and cut.  Then the judge says, "Ok I believe we have our jury."  14 people are chosen for a jury.  12 people will make the decision with 2 alternates incase someone has an emergency.

We all slowly move into the juror's box as we are called into it.  They inform us that we can depart to the juror's room after Mr. Smith checks to make sure it is "ready."  Check to make sure it is ready is the nice way to say, "Check to make sure that there is no one hiding in there."  The elevator that they bring the prisoners up on was right next to that room.  We figured that out on about the 2nd or 3rd day.

We all sat in the jurors' room and got our "Juror" name tags.  Then we eventually got called back into the courtroom.  The judge asks the the assistant DA Ms. Hemenway if she would like to begin her opening arguments.

We listen to her tell us about the case.  I will spare you that information because trust me I am about to tell you all about it.  I will however tell you two things.  1.  The state first tried to charge Ray Harrison with incest, but that was kicked out because they are not blood relatives.   2.  The defendant's attorney tried to say this was just a ploy to get money on the grandmother's part because her and the accused were going through a divorce...more about that later.

The opening arguments are over.  We are sent to lunch.

The first person that they put on the stand is the little girl.  I will not say her full name just because she is only 7, so I will just call her S on here.  If you are just dying to know her real name shoot me a message on Facebook, and I will let you know.

I had no idea that they were actually going to put a 7 year old on the stand!  She walks in, shoots us all a smile.  She is cute as a button.  She is energetic in the witness stand.  She cannot sit still.  The judge asks her a few questions to make sure that she is able to answer questions truthfully.  He decides that she can, and Ms. Hemenway begins to ask her questions.  Before she can really get started, we are sent into the jury room because there are some things that the attorneys need to talk about with the judge that we cannot hear.  This happens constantly the first day.  Ok on to the little girl's story.  ( I will spare you attorney's questions as much as I can.)

S says that her Peepaw picked her up from her parents' house in Murfreesboro in his white car.  She put herself in the carseat.  She did not have any water with her.  She was by herself in the car with him.  A long time after she had left the house at one of the red lights.  He asked her if she needed to pee.  She told him that she did not need to pee.  He told her to get in the front seat, so he could see if she needed to pee.  He moved her flowered shorts to the side and her panties, and he checked to see if she needed to pee.  She says he tickled her with two fingers.  She then says that he took his kidney out (that is her name for a boy's parts) through the small hole in his pants and shook it.  Then white stuff came out.  He tasted it and asked if she wanted to taste it.  He told her it was sweet.  The attorney asks her if it was sweet, and she said, "No, it was sour."  She made a sour face.

When they let her off of the stand, they let us go home for the day, but not before the judge read us the admonishions.  Don't talk about this anywhere.  Discussing it before the jury deliberates would be premature.

I might be able to blog about this tomorrow.

Yep

Another fun filled day of jury duty.  I almost fell asleep.  I get so freakin' tired of hearing the same question over and over again.  It isn't over yet.  I have at least one more day if not the rest of the week.  I can't wait for this to be over, so I can tell ya'll what this trial was all about.  UGH!  It is really hard to keep all of this stuff in!

Long Day!

Went to court this morning, since I was called.  Yep, you guessed it.  I am sitting on a f-ing jury.  Oh and it isn't just a day oh no!  It is 3 or 4 days!  This has royally messed up my work schedule PLUS I had to go to jury duty and then work!  Same thing tomorrow.  Then I have people that are coming to help at my store.  Ugh!  LONG DAYS!  Here was my day.  Yep I am going to bore you with it.

I woke up, jumped in the shower, got ready, drove to Murfreesboro, stood in a courtroom because there was nowhere to sit, got my name called to go into the jury pool, sat through voir dire (fancy way of saying jury pickin'), got freakin' chosen, went to lunch, listened to testimony, had an extremely long "15" minute break, an hour and 15 minutes later finally went back into the courtroom, listened to more testimony, got dismissed (all of the above happened between 8 and 5), I went to work, closed my store at 9, and came home.  Yep that was the looooooooong day.

250?! WOW! How many more days until the end of the year?

Duh duh dunnnnnnn....This is post 250!  Crazy!

I was totally exhausted yesterday.  I went to jury duty early yesterday morning.  I did not get picked, but I did go straight to work after.  I worked 10 hours yesterday....or was it 11?  Hmmm.  Either way it was a very long day!  THEN I had to go get my hubby from his sister's house ALL the way out in Springfield.  He took our nephew to the zoo AND gave him his Sophie that he LOVES!  YAY!

I was totally planning on going to work today until I woke up around 11.  I also took into account that I have to work everyday until next Friday without a day off.  I went to the theater instead.  We saw Machete.  We also saw Going the Distance.  Yes, we snuck in to that one of course!  What kind of blog would this be if I wasn't a little daring every now and then!  I totally thought we got caught this time though!  This guy came into count twice.  I thought for sure they were going to ask all of us for our tickets.  There was only like 5 people in there!  Oh how I love going to the theater during the week in the early afternoon.  Oh!  Machete was ehhhh (totally not my idea for a movie), but Going the Distance was pretty good!

We were talking about going to Live on the Green tonight, but we didn't.  Tonic and Five for Fighting were there!  It was free!  It is every Thursday night from now until mid October.  Similar to Dancin' in the District for those of you who partook (?) in that.

We are planning on going to the State Fair tomorrow night.  Jack really wants to go, since it is the last time it will be at the fairgrounds.  They are going to bulldoze that area and put condos and a shopping center there.  Sad right?  Make sure you hit it up!  I just wonder what they are going to do with the flea market after they do that....rrrrrrr

Dear California,
I miss your swapmeets!  I really do!  I wish I could fly there on the weekends just to go to them!  What I don't miss about you is that I could never drive down a road that had no lights around whatsoever.  Last night I was driving to get Jack, and I could have pulled off of the side of the road and turned off my lights to see all of the stars.  I couldn't have done that while I was with you.

I'm tired.  That is all.  Tomorrow.  Promise.  My day has been very long.

Found it!

Here is the post in its entirety.  I thought ya'll would appreciate it (especially my funny husband's input at the time).  I am going to cross off the items I have done!  Some of them are pretty simple, but at the time I had just ditched a boyfriend who wasn't very entertaining (we dated for 4 years)

Well I just finished up my Lesson Plan. You can see it here. I think it is pretty good...

Well it is Thursday!! Tomorrow is Friday....I sing this joyously. I went over to Annie's apartment last night even though I should have been at the library working on my papers.....tonight..definitely tonight. Gotta do it.

This is for Bubba.

It was the first time and it was the smallest, but it was the most interesting thing it was sweet and sour all in one. I'm sorry I threw it in the trash, but it just wasn't that great. I'll give you credit though I was forewarned...LOL.

This is for Jack upon request:

Jack is a really sweet guy. He is not an asshole by far, but can be a smart ass....which can be a good quality and is in him. I enjoy his company. He never fails to make me smile and laugh about something goofy. For example: "Do dogs think dog poo stinks?" "Or do people know that bologna is actually in liquid form before it is made?" These are just some of the random questions I have been asked. They always make me laugh. Oh and I especially loved this one, "I miss my Mustang LOL." That one truly brightened the day. I love the fact that I can daydream about someone while sitting in a boring class or sitting at a stop light. I love the fact that even though I am at work he will still call...that always makes me smile. These two smiley faces always make me think of him LOL.

I would just like to say that this is all still very true!  He is my favorite person.  He always makes me laugh and now we ask each other random questions.  I love to make him laugh even more though because knowing that I can make someone as funny as him laugh makes me feel like a million bucks.  Also, now when he calls me at work I always get the sudden urge to pee.  HA!

At this time I would like to post a few of those before I die items:

::Shuffling papers it is here somewhere...........five minutes later......Here it is..::

1. Go to a restaurant and just eat dessert.

2. Randomly dance with a guy. (I think I failed to mention I didn't dance at my junior or senior prom...pretty sad.)

3. Get Married (yeah I know...duh!)

4. Have kids (another duh)

5. Finish college

6. Become a teacher While I am not actually teaching what I thought I would be teaching, I did get to train people for work.

7. Travel overseas

8. Own a bulldog or a pug

9. Travel to many cities in America

10. Learn to enjoy Shakespeare <-----Ok this will NEVER EVER happen!  I have however come to appreciate Shakespeare and all that he brought the the English language and literature.  If you have never looked up something about "words and phrases that Shakespeare brought into the English language" you should!

11. Take a cruise to see whales <--Damn it!  I was totally going to do that while I was in California!  Did not have time!  It will happen!

12. Take a day trip to an odd place.

13. Perform an anonymous favor

14. Overcome a fear like even though I've been on a cruise I still have that fear of deep ocean. I couldn't imagine getting in water that was super deep and knowing I couldn't swim to the bottom if I wanted too. Scary....

15. Watch the sunrise and sunset with a perfect view.  <----I loved standing on the beach in California and watching the sunset.  Beautiful

16. Watch the changing guard at Buckingham Palace.

17. Visit the tower of London.

18. Visit Machu Picchu

Etc.

Ok so on some of them I get a little elaborate, but a girl can dream can't she?

I will be thinking of items to put on my Bucket List while I am bored waiting to see if I am going to be chosen for the jury tomorrow.

Bucket List...

I will be thinking of things for my bucket list, since Misty says we should make one!  Ok so honestly, I already had one that I made a few years ago of things to do before the age of....  I looked a while back, and I have actually done most of the stuff!  I will see if I can find it, and ya'll can see what I have checked off!

Rrrr!

I totally have to be at the judicial building in Murfreesboro tomorrow morning at 9!  UGH!

Jack convinced me to go downtown tonight.  We were going to go to the Tin Roof to listening to the songwriter night, but we found out when we got there that they had moved it to another venue AND decided to charge to get in.  We left.  I was not going to pay cover anywhere!  It is Tuesday!  Then we went downtown, circled around trying to find a cheap parking spot.  One place wanted 15 bucks.  We finally found a 6 dollar parking.  We walked down Broadway and wound up at Robert's Western Room.  While we were there, our neighbor from across the street sent Jack a text message that he was at Melrose.  We left downtown and headed there.  It was live trivia night tonight.  We got there too late to play, but I will remember that they play there.  I will also have to go play with the Kline girls in Murfreesboro!  Sounds like fun to me!  :)  Now we are back and home and just finished watching the first episode of the season of Sons of Anarchy.  Did I mention Jax is hot?  Yeah, I said it.  He also has an accent in real life.  Yum!  :)  Don't tell my hubby!

Mother Trucker!

First and foremost! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE! WHOOT WHOOT! 25 FOREVER!  P.S.  You might have to click on the photo to see it.  It isn't showing when I view my blog.

As you already know, I had jury duty today. What I didn't know was that this was just orientation! I have to call EVERY DAY until October 1st to find out if I have to be there the next day! WHAT THE HELL!? I could serve on a jury EVERY DAY until the end of the month! I doubt that will happen but still! Oh AND I can't tell ya'll about any of the crazy drama that the court cases are about (I knew this already, but I'm just letting you know. ^u^)
And consider that your forewarning from JDH

I was really planning on going to work after I was finished today, but it just didn't happen. I have no guilt though because I was supposed to get 3 days off this week thanks to Labor Day.

I got my niece/nephew a Sophie from Babies R Us the other day, and THEN we went to Essex today, and I found another one at a much cheaper price! YAY!  They both get one now!  Jack is taking Rio and Jill to the zoo tomorrow, and he is going to give him his then!  YAY!

Labor Day

I hope ya'll did something better than me for Labor Day. I worked my ass off all day. It was one of those days where you drop everything or throw things on accident. My favorite part of the day was when the lady busted an entire gallon of milk out on my front sidewalk. Oh no wait it gets better because I have to clean it up, soooooooo I grab a bucket. The first time getting water wasn't so bad, but the second time I turned the water on too high. If you have ever seen a hose pipe go out of control on a TV show or movie, you can imagine what happened in my stockroom. The hose went everywhere, and I was soaked. I know I sound like I am bitching about my day, BUT I laughed my ass off when that happened! I mean seriously who does that?! ME! :)

Now I am at home dreading jury duty tomorrow morning. BOO!

Day out with Katie

Soo my day was fun filled! Katie and I went to IHOP for breakfast. We both shall plead the fifth on the food options that me made. What happens at IHOP stays at IHOP. We then headed over to the greenway over on Old Fort Parkway. We walked up to the square, checked out the Farmer's Market, and then up to MOAB. I HAD to go see if they had the bike I wanted. They did not, BUT they do carry Electras! They can also get the one I want if and when I decide to fork out the money for that damn thing. When we got back to our beginning point, we both decided it was way too pretty to be inside for the rest of the day, hence our trip to the zoo. Oh by the way I am a member now, so if anyone wants to go let me know because I have a dual membership and can take another person. This trip to the zoo reminds me of the fact that I mysteriously have Mrs. Spann's phone number in my phone. I was trying to call Katie and got Katie instead. If that sounds confusing to you, imagine my surprise when I called the number. Jack was upset that I went to the zoo without him today, but he told me yesterday that he didn't want to go soo no harm done besides I have a membership now anyway. We can go anytime we want no charge! :)

Jack totally wanted to go to see some bands play tonight, but I fell asleep on the couch. The sun got to me (tired and slightly red). I didn't want to go anyway. Oh darn.

Now margaritas with the hubby! Here is the recipe..I got it from the pharmacist at work.

Ed's Margaritas
12oz Tequila
12oz Triple Sec
12oz Frozen Limeade
12oz (get ready for this strange one) beer
12oz water

Mix it all together and chill.

They are very good and pretty damn strong too! :)

Runny nose

Guys, When I get preggers one day, I totally don't want to be one of those people that you look at and can't decide if they are just fat or if they are pregnant. I am blessed being a pear shape, so my stomach is the first thing that loses weight but like right now my boobs are barely past my stomach. I totally need to lose some weight. ugh. I just need some motivation.

My nose is running.

Jack totally wanted to go to Columbus, OH this weekend to see his aunt. She just found out that she has bladder cancer. All day long I didn't know if we were going. I get home, and he says, "We might go later." It is 10 o clock now, so I am going to assume that we are not going. That reminds me. I need to send Katie a text about breakfast/walking in the morning. *Done* I love that she is forcing me to exercise because I totally need it. Anyway now Jack and I will be pushing that OH trip to the future probably 4 weeks from now. We have free places to stay, so I am not really concerned about how much it will cost us. Jack's cousin has a pretty decent size house with extra rooms.

I just had the most hilarious T9 experience. I was sending Katie a text, and I was typing Oooo. Oooo did not come up, but poop did. HA!

I am getting my very first customer complaint. He is an asshole, and I really don't care. My shift supervisors tell me that he comes in all of the time and wants the impossible. I have forewarned the district office, but apparently he calls so much that he is on a frequent caller list. Crazy.

Dear...

Dear Girls who insist on taking pictures of their feet and putting it on Facebook,
Your toes look ugly if you cut your big toenail too short. It looks gross and painful.
KThanks,

Dancin' in September

Everytime I hear that song it reminds me of work. It isn't a bad recollection. It reminds me of when I was still a cashier and racing shopping carts down the aisles on Saturday nights after the pharmacy closed.

I have to drive to freakin Cookeville tomorrow for a freakin' managers' meeting. A whole day that I need to be in my store that I can't be in my store. :( THEN on Tuesday, I have to go to jury duty. EHH! There is another day that I cannot be in my store. What a waste. I hope this does not put me behind. :(

I got to see my super cute nephew today! My mother in law didn't seem to thrilled when we arrived at 9 this morning, but Jack was determined to spend as much time as possible with him. I actually left him at his mom's house, so he could hang with him even longer. Rio loves his uncle Jack. He just laughs and laughs. :)

I got to tell a coupon lady that she could only have 1 Gain today. She "understood" but will obviously be back tomorrow, and she will obviously be very disappointed when there is not any on the shelf because she has come in every day this week to buy some. She will probably ask for a raincheck before it is over with and bitch about how we didn't have any left.

I am tired now, and I feel like I am boring you. Night

Sleep! Whoot!

3 people blogged tonight! What a pleasant surprise to see so many people blogging, but umm three of you did not. You know who you are! I am totally ready to hear about the name that shall not be named first day of school! I am also totally ready to hear about someone's totally awesome cruise! AND someone else that has totally neglected her blog after telling us that her and her boyfriend split! She is killing me! I did, however, get to read about Jess' super complicated, crazy workload this semester. Reading her blog made my head spin. :) I also got to read about Cheyenne's new beginning! One of the blogs that I have been reading came to an end which totally made me sad, but at the same time I am so happy for Matt because he finished his walking journey across the northern US.

It is time for Letters from Jennifer! Whoot!

Dear Greedy Coupon Lady,
Just because you work for the Tennessean and apparently have the ability to get as many coupon books as you want does not mean that I am going to let your greedy ass have every fucking Gain Dish Detergent in my store. I am so glad that my cashier told you no twice today! She also informed you that she should report you. While she may not report you, I do intend to write a letter to the editor to inform them that their associates are stealing the coupon books out of the newspapers. Why do you freakin' coupon ladies take more than one? You are the same freakin' coupon lady that will bitch on Saturday that I don't have any left.
F You,
Your friendly neighborhood Rite Aid manager

Dust myself off after that one..

My shift supervisor (Karen) eats all of the freakin' time! She makes me sick. She eats like a full meal every couple of hours. Then she will ask me why I am not eating! She must have a hell of a metabolism because she burns through food faster than anyone I have ever seen! It is nuts! I am not kidding everytime I see her she is either hungry or eating something.

I get to sleep in in the morning! YAY!

Monday, August 30, 2010

Umm uhhh....thinking of titles is too much of a hassle. I think I am going back to numbers.

I finally updated my editor to the new one. I have been using the ancient one all of this time. I thought there would be more options, but it only appears a little different.

My day has consisted of getting up, going to work, coming home from work, and going to Kroger. Yep, that is it. The electricity was shut off at my store for about an hour and a half today which totally sucked. My day was totally screwed up after that. I didn't have enough time to get everything done, and I like to stay up to date!. :(

Good Deals at the Rite Aid this week.
If you got the P&G Saver in the newspaper this week, you can get
Gain Dish Detergent FREE
Pantene Restore Shampoo FREE---If the store manager is nice...we have to modify it to make it work. If you go to Smyrna, the store manager who remains unnamed will probably never let it happen. Alex or Dawn might do it for you though, so go at night.
There is also apparently a 3 dollar coupon at some grocery store for an Electrasol thingy that goes into your dishwasher and dispenses the detergent. It is 50% off this week, so it makes it like a buck fity. :)
Tide is on sale for 5.99 you get a dollar plus up reward AND some people have a 1.50 coupon, soooo at the register you pay 4.50 after the mysterious coupon (I don't know where it came from). You get the dollar plus up reward that you can use on almost anything in the store, or you can do two transactions and use it for one of your other awesome deals.

I will keep you updated if the coupon ladies do anything else this week. They have been buying up Crest stuff like crazy too, but it must be a rebate.

Come to my store. :) I ordered the crap out of this stuff!

Here is my two cents on the mosque ordeal.

Seriously? Why the hell does anyone care? I seriously don't think that the people who are so against it realize that there is ALREADY a freakin' mosque in Murfreesboro. There is nothing wrong with them wanting to expand. This is not them "making their mark" on Murfreesboro because there mark is already made! As to who set the fire, I don't know what side did it and for all we know it could have been some pyro kid that wanted to light a fire for the fun of it.

I wish someone would have thrown this much of a conniption fit when they were breaking ground on the big ass First Baptist Church in Smyrna, or [when I drive around and see] all of these "Lifepoint" churches being built or TAKEN OVER (I am sure it got put to a vote, but when a group offers you boocootles of money to help support you, I imagine that it does make a huge dent in the deciding factor) that belong to that church.

Whoa where the heck did that come from?! Ahh...I totally had a boring day, but I wanted to write something for you. I have been neglecting you too much.

Oh and btw, I totally did not win the pick 3 tonight. I never play, but I did today.

NEW LAPTOP

I bought a new laptop. I am still having my old one fixed, but this one is MINE ALL MINE! I don't have to share, once the other one is fixed! No more waiting on my husband to play World of Dorkcraft! WHOOT WHOOT!

I know ya'll have been in Jennifer blog withdrawals, since my computer's charging pin went caput.

I have been up to a buncha work! Of course!

My husband has baby fever as predicted. I promise! If you look back to before I left California you will see that I was hoping that he would have baby fever when we moved back to Tennessee. He woke me up out of a dead sleep by saying, "I want to have a kid." Yeah, it shocked me. Ever since then, he talks about it almost everyday. He even volunteered us to babysit our nephew Friday night. It was fun forcing him to change a diaper and watching him transform into a monkey and chase my nephew around....so cute! Then when I got the youngin' to sleep, Jack refused to put him in his bed because he wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. Baby fever..

More later! It is late! I gotta be up early in the morning!

Monday, August 16, 2010

Dear,

Dear blog readers,

My husband broke the pin in my computer. It won't charge anymore. :( My blogging will be even more sporatic now. :*(

Yum

Turkey bacon and eggs for breakfast. Yummy! :)

I am still waiting for my husband to get out of bed! I have been wanting to go to Whole Foods in Green Hills for days, but I wanna go when it isn't totally busy. We drove there the other day, but it looked packed. I really want a jicama damn it!

One of my best guy friends just found out he and his wife are having a boy. YAY! I also just found out his name....ehhhhhhhh.....Desmond Walter Cole. I seriously hope the first name is not after Desmond on Lost. GEEZ!

We went to The Melrose last night. I was under the assumption that it was a restaurant. Yeah, no. It is most definitely a bar. My husband claims that it is a restaurant first. They were on their late night menu. Definitely not the most healthy options. I had loaded Waffle Fries. The options didn't get much better than that. I should probably add that they weren't that great either.

Ahhhhhh....

Dear Vanilla Red Tea Latte from Circle K,
I love you.
Someone who is missing Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Company and needs a suitable replacement.

We went to visit my precious little niece the other day. Jack was practically begging me to go see her. No, seriously! My husband has baby fever. I know, crazy, right?! He informed me of that after we got back from seeing her. He admitted it, but then stated that we weren't in a financially secure enought place to have a kid. I then pointed out that know one ever feels like they are financially secure enough to have a kid, but I can understand that he would at least like to have a job first. BUT STILL! How weird is that that my husband has baby fever? I mean, his sister called him late last night and asked him to watch his nephew, and he was TOTALLY excited about it. I think having to change one diaper would end that, but he was really looking forward to it until she decided to leave him at their mom's house (probably after realizing I wouldn't be there all day). Honestly, I think he is trying to have sex with me as much as possible right now just to see if it accidentally happens.

My husband is totally on board about losing some weight after going to the doctor the other day. He found out how much he really weighs. He came out of the office, looked at me, and said, "I've got to lose some weight."

My work is same old same old. I will say that I do love what I do, and I haven't really had a day where I really don't want to go to work...YET. POOOOOWER! :)

I miss California, but what else is new. I feel like I am not on an adventure anymore.....depressing.
