Day 56!

Well I stepped on the scale this morning and to my surprise, I have lost weight! Whoot! I am officially down 35 lbs. I can't remember if I have been down that much in the course of this blogging stuff, but I had gained some weight recently due to my poor eating.

I am also officially broke for a while. We had to pay that attorney, and now we are just like scavengers in our kitchen. We are eating whatever we have, so my diet is kind of out the window for a while. I will say that perhaps the "I'm really freakin' broke" diet will be good for my waistline. I am so truly blessed to have a husband who has the same ideas as me when it comes to money. My rule is that as long as we have food, a place to stay, and each other that is all that truly matters. We may be broke for a while, but it will get better. I used to get so stressed out when it came to money, but Jack has taught me that it just isn't worth it. If I have to, I will just not pay an unimportant bill one month (i.e. cable or phone). It just isn't worth stressing over.

Tsunami~Day 55!

We are currently under a Tsunami advisory. It is the lowest level threat. I just read online that they are asking people to stay clear of the beaches around noon and 1. It totally makes me want to go to the beach. They shouldn't have told me not to because we are already talking about it. I mean it is an almost free thing to do.... Still gotta pay to park.

It is 10:15 here and now we are under a tsunami warning. EEK! They are thinking that the first waves will reach us around 12.

Nah! We are ok! No big splashes here. I have eaten way too many Girl Scout cookies today. Hey! The quicker I eat them the faster they are gone. My husband is helping too. I am just eating out of boredom. Jack has been playing a game all day, and I have been on the computer and grabbing random Girl Scout cookies. Oh I have also been watching the apartment complex I live in tow people's vehicles. They have towed at least 3 today. The sign clearly says that they will tow you at your expense if you park here between 8 and 6. I guess these people don't believe it!

Day 54!

I totally did not even think to write yesterday! EEK! I have been ok on my diet the past couple of days definitely not as perfect as I would like to be. My husband had the nerve to bring home Girl Scout cookies yesterday. I wanted to beat him! The answer is yes. I have eaten some. Why did they change the names of them anyway? That is totally strange!

This is my biggest news! My husband is off of work the entire weekend! Whoot! I am so excited to get to hang out with him for 2 whole days! I did all of the laundry and cleaning as soon as I got home from work today, so that it would be the last thing on my mind all weekend. We did have to pay the attorney today, so anything we do besides hanging out at the house will be free! Beach, park, hmm we shall see!

Day 52!

I haven't written in a couple of days. :( Sorry! We have been playing Pogo games like mad people around here. I fell asleep last night before Jack because he was playing. THIS NEVER HAPPENS! He always falls asleep before me!

I have had two good SBD days in a row! YAY! I am hoping that the scale will show it. I had gained a couple of lbs, and I have already taken those off! I am hoping in a couple of days I will be able to say that I have lost even more! AHH!! WHOOT! I really want to be like Mrs. Spann and be able to say that I am below 200. OMG that would be AMAZING! I haven't seen that in several years. When I hit that mark, I will have tears in my eyes.

I am on Formspring now! Feel free to leave me questions. http://www.formspring.me/JennDHeikle

Day 50!

I just found out that one of my really good friends from high school lost her sister today. She found out on her birthday. I have been trying to find the words to just say something, anything to her, but words are really failing me right now. We spent so much time together that we became family. I just want to give her a big hug. I cannot imagine Melissa without a smile on her face, and to think that her heart is breaking because she lost her sibling just kills me. I cannot even imagine what she is going through right now. While we haven't really kept in touch that much since high school, I still consider her one of my sisters. All of the girls I was in color guard with are my sisters. She only lives 6 hours away from me now, but I doubt she is in California right now. I imagine that she is flying to TN to be with her family at this time.

Day 49!

Day 49! Today has not been a good day food wise. This is not because I ate the wrong things, but because I didn't eat ANYTHING until like 7:30. I don't know how on Earth I let that happen, but it did. I just didn't eat anything.

I went to see a Grease Sing along today. They are going to release it, and they were just testing it out today. It was awesome! Everyone in the theater was singing! All the words were on the screen, and I can now say that I had no idea how raunchy that movie is! WOW! If you really listen to some of the words to those songs, you would be amazed!

I also went to see Valentine's Day. Jack didn't care to see it, so I thought I would go see it by myself. It was pretty good. Very Love Actually which can be a good thing and a bad thing. It is almost like it has been done before, but with all of the remakes of movies coming out, it just goes with the flow of those.

Day 48!

I have got to get back on the South Beach Wagon! OMG! For the last two weeks, I have been going food crazy. I really think it is all because of PMS. I just want to eat whatever is quick and already made. I have just been soo tired. My knee has hurt. I just need to put myself back together and jump back on the wagon. This needs to happen very soon because if not all of the weight that I have lost is going to start piling back on, and that is the last thing I want to happen!

The hubby is working this weekend again. No big surprise, but I plan to work tomorrow. That should make some of the day go by fast. Ulti McDouche is supposed to go out of town FOR A WHOLE WEEK! OMG! I am so excited! YAY! ::Happy Dance:: A whole week alone with my husband. Ahhhhhhhh!

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Day 47!

I did well today until dinner. AF is visiting, and I really just didn't care what I ate tonight. I had a taco salad for dinner, so I had some rice and some of the shell. I guess that isn't too bad. No exercise today. My knee still hurts. I think I may have to give in and purchase a knee brace before too long. I am totally exhausted right now, so I am off to bed. I just wanted to make sure that I blogged today. I have blogged every day of this year so far!

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Day 46!

Well I was doing really well today until dinner. We had pizza. I couldn't get into the kitchen to make dinner. My knee is still bugging me, so I haven't exercised. :( I am thinking that if it only hurts a little bit tomorrow that I am going to try to just do the exercise bike. Hopefully it won't hurt. I hate this being stationary thing. YUCK! It is even worse when I know I haven't eaten well the entire day. Tomorrow is another day thank goodness!

Jack has to work this weekend, so it looks like I will probably work on Saturday orrrr I could just sleep in! My body totally did not want to wake up today, so sleeping in sounds heavenly. It also didn't help that it hurts to walk.

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Day 45!

Today has not gone as South Beachy as I would have liked. The fact that my knee is killing me is getting me a totally off dinner, and lunch wasn't so great itself. It would have been if we hadn't had to go purchase a car today. So much for being debt free...we will be paying off a loan for the next few months. We have 2 years to pay it, but I want it gone as soon as possible! It is a pretty cute car. 98 Tiburon If only it had been free or paid out right, my nerves wouldn't be so shot. I hate hate hate spending money! Rrrr!

The dishes are out of the sink, but the ones from our dinner are in it now. Jack cooked, and I usually clean up but with my knee hurting the way it is, it will never happen today. I will hopefully be able to stand up tomorrow. When I don't move it for a while, it gets really stiff. I dread the morning.

Monday, February 15, 2010

Day 44!

I had an excellent South Beach phase 1 day! Cheat free! Exercise too! Whoot whoot! My day in general was pretty good until my husband got home. At that moment, I was informed that his car is dead. I mean like engine blown dead. This means we have to find him a new car asap. We also have to pay an attorney 1500 bucks really soon. This just adds to him having to buy a suit when he went to Vegas. All that money just out the door. I thought we would be good in the next couple of weeks, but it looks like it will be a bit longer. On the positive, when things start to look bad even if they continue on badly for a while, I know that times will start looking up again. The other plus is that we get paid on each other's off weeks, so every week there is a paycheck coming in. My rule is that as long as there is food in the fridge, I can ditch any other unnecessary bill (i.e. cable and phone).

I would just like to add that there are dishes in the sink again tonight.... I ain't bitchin' I'm just saying.

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Day 43!

Well it was Valentine's Day today. I am not really big into Valentine's day, but we were planning on eating a decent dinner. I say planning because our plan didn't go through as planned. Our roommate decided he was cooking dinner for this chick he has been dating, and was in our kitchen all f-ing day. I mean from like 12 this afternoon until 7. Seriously! I was so angry! Jack had asked him earlier in the day when he thought he would be finished just, so we could know a time frame for us eating dinner. His answer was "in a few hours". A few is 3 or 4! He was more like several hours. We couldn't even get into the kitchen to begin making our food. When all of his food was finally finished, he offered us food. Ummmm hello! I obviously went to the grocery store and picked up our food for tonight's dinner plus the food for the week. We even mentioned eating steak for dinner. Then after he finished cooking instead of attempting to clean up most of his mess he just left it there, so we had to work around all of his crap! What also aggravates me is that I had cleaned the kitchen *spotless* yesterday. I washed all of his freakin' dishes that he left for 2 days and made sure everything was all wiped down. Cleaned the living room too. Then tonight when he finally decides to clean up. The kitchen still looks like crap. Honestly, I think he was going to leave it, but I made a comment a little loud that "someone was going to get a bitchin' if someone doesn't clean the kitchen" (that just rolled right off of my tongue..I was so proud) and that I was planning on making breakfast cheesecake before I went to bed, but I couldn't because the kitchen was a mess and I had no place to work. If Jack or I would have left the kitchen in anything but pristine condition, he would have thrown a fit. Some people are so freaking self-involved they have no respect for other people. I have been purposely cleaning up after him, so that one day in the future he will start bitching about the kitchen not being "clean," and my husband will have some ammunition about how I clean up after him and his friends all the time. AAAAHHHH! I will be so freakin' happy when August rolls around. I will never ever have a roommate ever again unless there is absolutely no other choice for us.

Tomorrow is phase 1 restart day! I am fully prepared! I have breakfast already made, snacks are ready to grab, and I have no idea what I am going to eat for lunch because I didn't have time to make the lunch was wanting to make because I couldn't get in my flippin' kitchen. I was trying to make the lunch cost as small as possible this week, but it looks like I will be buying Subway tomorrow. Dinner foods are ready to make too! Then EXERCISE! Which, trust me, right now, I totally need! I really take out my frustrations on that elliptical.

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Day 42.5!

I hate it when restaurants mess up your order! I totally ordered unhealthy chicken nachos tonight. What did I get? A perfectly healthy chicken taco salad (well healthy without the shell). Is this a sign from the South Beach Diet Gods? Jennifer this guy is going to mess up your order with a healthy alternative eat better! It was pretty good, but I really did want my nachos! Now I just need to go exercise! I may just go after I finish watching The Notebook.

My husband gave me the best Valentine's present ever today! Yep, I am being cryptic. Another day, another day.

Day 42!

I cannot wait to go to the freakin' grocery store! I am tired of the easiest option being running to grab something to eat. I know that if I have the food in the apartment, I will feel obligated to eat it. Rrrrr! We went to go see Wolfman this morning. I love the first showing out here (it is soo cheap compared to the other showings)! Ohh! They were giving away free passes today again! Do you know what they are doing?????!!!!! They are going to re-release Grease as a sing along! Ahhh! I am totally going next Saturday even if no one goes with me! I am betting that someone from the movie will be there! I wish Patricia were here in CA! Uhh! She would just die!

Day 41.9

HELP! I cannot stop eating! I went to Taco Bell...quesadilla, chicken burrito, and a freakin' taco. Oh it gets worse. Then I go to Ralph's and grab a piece of cake. I have a feeling that this is the boredom eating. Rrrrrrrrr.

Friday, February 12, 2010

Day 41.5

Nope, I didn't go. I was on my way there when I just said, "Nope. I don't want to go." I went back home and changed, watched last night's episode of Grey's (which was awesome btw), and then decided to go see a movie. Yep all by myself. I love doing that! No one to share the popcorn with, no one leaning over to ask you a question. Just relaxation and quiet. I saw Dear John. I figured I would save Jack the boredom of watching a chick flick. I am glad I did because while I did like the movie, I really think it could have just been made for TV. I had a bagel for breakfast and popcorn at the theater today. All of those grains. Eeeks! I am really thinking that I have to be PMSing or something because I just want carbs. All I can think about right now is how good nachos would be!

I did go look for some new pants today, since none of mine currently fit correctly. My new jeans I bought at the beginning of January no longer fit! I am not complaining, but I was complaining trying to find a new pair that fit correctly! It drives me crazy trying on jeans after jeans. Why can't all companies make their jeans like Lane Bryant's. I want a blue size 1, but for a smaller price! My last pair were 50 dollars! If you aren't aware already, I hate hate hate to spend money on clothes. I just don't care. If I own something cute, my husband picked it out. I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl.

I think I already said something about our latest dumpster find, the TV. First the sound worked then the picture worked with no sound. Well today, the sound and the picture work! YES! No more ghetto hookup! We had put the sound output from the newly purchased DVD player into the alarm clock just so we had sound. Not anymore! Whoo hoo!

Day 41!

I am currently trying to convince myself to go to work. The store I usually go to on Fridays is not expecting me. I was/am planning on going to another one of my stores to get the catch up plan started on it, but I just want to hang out at home. If I don't go today, I will go tomorrow. I am not sure that I want to only have a one day weekend, so this is why I am trying to convince myself to get dressed, walk the dogs, and head to work. Bleech. Jack is working all weekend though, so I really have nothing to do.

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Day 40!

Well day 40, and I am beginning to feel like a South Beach Diet failure. Soooooo that means I am going to have to restart phase 1, or I will never continue on my weight loss because I will cheat and cheat and cheat. That is the way it is looking right now at least. I am thinking that the official re-kickoff of phase 1 will be Monday. From today until then, I am going to try to cheat as little as possible on phase 2. I have realized that if I eat grains too early in the morning that it just makes me crave them all day! I think when I hit phase 2 the next time, I am going to try to eat a grain at dinner rather than closer to breakfast (as suggested by the book). I have come to discover that I am bored eater, so I have been trying to keep myself as busy as possible on the weekends. I clean, so I won't eat! This restart plan makes me think of someone who told me that they go back and forth every 2 weeks between phase 1 and phase 2 to keep their weight loss going. I am wondering if I will have to do that too just so I won't cheat. It would probably be even more helpful to be prepared every week. I really think that is part of my problem this week! I have not been to the grocery store in a while, so I don't have any of my good foods. :(

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Day 39.5

I just got back from the gym. I just want to know how all of these little skinny girls can go 6 mph on the elliptical and not break a freakin' sweat! Here I am going about 4.5 to 5 mph and sweating like a polar bear in the desert! One of these girls was talking on her cellphone going that fast! I would be huffing and puffing trying to have a conversation or just answering in one syllable phrases. Anyway I did 2.5 miles in 35 minutes! I really wanna amp it up where I am going 3 miles in 35 minutes, but that means I need to be up there with those skinny girls! I did discover tonight how to keep myself going when I never think it is going to end! I didn't let myself listen to the music I really wanted until I only had about 10 minutes. It really helped! Well I think I am going to make some sweet tea with the "dangerous" Splenda! YUM! It is the only sugar substitute I like. :)

Day 39!

Work work work. I feel like that's all I ever do! I am about to go exercise right after I finish watching The Time Traveler's Wife. We found a TV by the dumpster today! WHOO HOO! It works too! FINALLY A TV FOR THE BEDROOM! We had one in TN, but of course we sold almost everything when we moved!

Today was an OK day food wise. We ate Subway for dinner. I was totally hoping that the new breads from there were 100% whole grain wheat. They aren't! Too late now! That was my only flub today! I did step on the scale today, and I am so happy to tell you that even though I have cheated 8000 times the past couple of weeks, I have not gained any weight. Shoo! I have lost another lb though! I would update my tracker if I could figure out how to do it. :(

We went out to lunch for our anniversary yesterday! We were going to go out to dinner too, but Jack started feeling funky (panic attack funky). We ordered in healthy Chinese. I think I have said this before, but the Chinese place out here is super healthy. I just don't eat the rice. Well, I believe I am off to exercise! I don't know why I exercise so late because I can never sleep afterwards, but at least I can get myself to go!

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Day 38! My anniversary! I will post twice today!

I typed this up the very next day while the whole day was still fresh in my mind. I am so glad that I did!

Our Wedding
February 9th, 2008
The morning of February 9th I awoke around 10:30 and realized I was getting married in just a few short hours. I started to get everything together makeup, bobby pins, you name it I was grabbing for it. I had to be at my parents' chalet by 12:00 after all! This meant not only did I have to be ready to go, but so did Annie (the maid of honor) and Brienna (a new friend).
I woke Jack up by singing "Going to the Chapel" and told him that I was about to leave and that I loved him and would see him soon. I went back upstairs to where the girls were, and I reminded Ken to not let Jack forget the rings. The girls and I left and went to my parents' chalet right after. When we arrived I put my make-up on and then Brienna (the god send) did my hair. If it weren't for her, I probably would have paid to have my hair done. She did such an amazing job! I never knew how well my hair curled!
At around 12:50, we all left and started on our way to Honeysuckle Hills. It seemed like it took us forever to get there. At one point, I even thought that I had made a wrong turn. Yes, that is correct I drove myself to my own wedding! How funny! When we arrived the two girls (I'll call them the red shirts) who assisted the photographer, Regina, ran out to my car to see if there was anything that they could carry. We were then shown to the bridal room. I proceeded to change into my wedding under things. I completely forgot how hard it was to get those Spanx on! When I was ready to put my dress on, Annie and Melinda began to search for the middle layer, so I could put it on with ease. I slipped into my dress, but I had the easy part! Annie and Melinda then began attempting to lace up my dress. It took probably a good fifteen minutes until they finally got me into the dress. Meanwhile, Brienna has to run out to my car to grab my jewelry because I had totally forgotten it. When she comes back in, she put my necklace and my earrings on for me. I then ask her to call Ken and make sure that they don't forget the rings. Of course, they have to go back and get them! About 10 minutes later, one of the red shirts asks me if I have the rings and that they need the marriage certificate. It is at this very moment I look at Brienna and say, "Oh no! Jack for some reason took the marriage certificate out of my car! Will you call Ken again and ask them if they remembered the marriage certificate?!" Did they have the marriage certificate? Of course not! They had to drive back up the mountain to the chalet to get the marriage certificate! While they are making their way to Honeysuckle Hills, I have my bridal portraits taken and the preacher comes into talk to me. He asks me the basic questions. How long have you been together? How did you meet? Is there anything special you want me to say? Then, I anxiously begin waiting for Jack to arrive. Jack's mom comes into to talk to me and so does Patricia. I just keep glancing out the window. My veil goes in and my tiara. My mom knocks on the door and my dad is standing there, and my mom asks him, "Doesn't she look beautiful?" and with a choked up voice says, "Yeah, yeah she does." My dad almost made me cry. Brienna calls to check on Jack and Ken, and they had just turned at the traffic light. Surprisingly they found their way without getting lost! Yea! When Jack finally arrives, his brother goes out to great him. Jack looks so handsome. I wanted him to realize that I was standing there looking at him, but he never saw me. Next thing I know one of the red shirts is running up to the stairs to tell me that Jack would like to speak with me privately. I for a moment before she can finish think to myself, "Oh no what if he has cold feet?" then the red shirt says, "Um, he is having a bit of an anxiety attack." I run as quickly as I can downstairs in heels and a wedding dress. I walk outside, and he sees me for the first time. I think I took his breath away because he teared up and said that I looked amazingly beautiful. He said he just couldn't believe how beautiful I looked at that very moment. Of course, he is still having an anxiety attack, so I proceed to try to calm him down. I get him some water and sit him down and try to calm him down. We get something for him to take to calm his nerves. He can barely stand up. He just was not doing well at all. We walk outside to get him into the cool air and what happens? My veil flies off! Then with another gust of wind, my tiara flies forward. Being the optimistic person that I am, I just said to hell with it and went right on with trying to calm my groom down. He tells me that he was so nervous he forgot socks! Someone walks downstairs and says that it is really warm up in the room that we are going to get married. At this moment in time, Jack gets even more anxious because the warmth is just going to make him worse. I look at him and say, "Do you just want to get married outside?" He tells me yes. This is amazing because I really wanted to get married outside, but since we were getting married in February I didn't think that it would be warm enough. It was absolutely beautiful! Yes, a little chilly and my maid of honor probably wanted to kill me but beautiful! I yelled for my photographer and asked her if it was possible, and she said of course! All of our guests were moved outside, and Jack was still a little anxious. The wedding party stood around while we waited for Jack to be ready. He talked to me for a second and asked the photographer if she had ever had this happen before and she told him that she understood because her sister went through the same thing as a child. Oh I forgot to mention! I completely ditched the tiara and veil! I threw it on a table in the office next to a candle. When Jack was ready, he just went and stood up at the front to wait for me. The music Jesu Joy of Man's Desire began to play, and the red shirts began directing us to walk down. Ken went first, then Annie, and then my dad and me. About half way to the bridge, I was tired of stepping on my dress with my heels, so I decided I wasn't going to wear them anymore. I kicked them off and just kept right on walking. My dad laughed at me. We crossed the bridge and everyone rose for me to walk down the aisle! How nice! I got up to the front and the music stopped playing and the minister asked who brought me to be wed and he said, "Her mother and I do." I went over to Jack and looked into his eyes, and said, "Are you ready for this?" He looked so nervous. Honestly, I hate to say this, but I don't remember half of what the minister said. I was so concerned about Jack not passing out most of the ceremony. I kept rubbing his hands to reassure him. The minister asked if Jack took me as his lawfully wedded wife and he said, "Fo Sho!" I just laughed. I was asked the same question and I said, "I do." We exchanged rings and when Jack had to repeat after the minister, the minister made sure to make him repeat "Fo sho" at the end of his. It was so funny. We were pronounced husband and wife and the recessional song began, and I said as it began, "That's right ladies and gentlemen Styx!" We walked out and across the bridge. The picture taking began! We took tons of pictures! When we went to move into the barn, someone comes up to me and says, "Um, Jennifer I just want you to be prepared for this. Your veil caught on fire (yep, it was the candle I put my veil next to)." I just laugh and say, "Oh well! Not a big deal! It will just be another story to tell!" When all of the pictures were over, I drove Jack and myself to the Great Smokey Mountain sign so that we would have a picture there! Yes, I drove myself to and from my own wedding! While we were having our pictures taken, so many people honked and yelled congrats. We went back to my parents chalet and had cake and champagne. Jack fell asleep in my parents' room. I stayed talked to everyone. Jack's mom and siblings left pretty quickly and I waited on Patricia to make it. After everyone departed, I woke Jack up and went back to our chalet. When we got there Jack went right back to sleep. Ken and Brienna came downstairs and I talked to them for a while, and we went to Food City. When we came back, Ken, Brienna, and I sat around and talked. Jack finally woke up around midnight. We watched a little bit of a movie and well the rest is a little private.

Day 37!

I stepped on the scale this morning. I wiggled around a couple times just to make sure that it wasn't stuck. I have lost 1 more pound! YAY! 31 lbs! I hate when I eat horribly for a couple of days, and instead of gaining weight I lose it! Why can't it be like that all of the time?! I ate really well today. I skipped my snacks. It was an accident. I was not prepared. Jack cooked dinner, and he made sure it was SBD friendly. Way to go husband!

I came home today to find out that my roommate had taken it upon himself to clean MY couch. He used resolve on it. Ok normally this would be ok, but I have a microfiber couch. You can only use certain things on them! I am terrified that he has ruined the warranty! The place we got it from will come out and clean it if you need it cleaned! I am so pissed! He probably totally stripped the scotchgard off of it! I also had put some Arm and Hammer down yesterday just to kill the dog odors. I was going to vacuum it when I got home today, but the new girlfriend thought it was salt! Who the hell puts salt on their couch!!??? How freakin' stupid! RRRRRrrrr! I had to go exercise tonight just, so I could calm down. I was so pissed! I had no idea how much steam I blow off just by exercising. I mean my stressed out level went down dramatically.

Tomorrow is my two year anniversary, and I can't wait to repost my wedding story for you guys! First I want to tell you that the night before my wedding, my husband, best man, his date, and my maid of honor all got plastered! I did not drink at all because 1. I don't usually drink (only occasionally) 2. I wanted to look good in my photos. The girl who did my photography is AMAZING! If you know anyone planning on getting married in Gatlinburg, I highly recommend Honeysuckle Hills! Regina is a fabulous photographer! Here is a link to her blog that talks about my wedding pictures! http://honeysucklehills.blogspot.com/2008/02/our-happiest-bride-of-2008-has-to-be.html (I couldn't get the hyperlink to work!) :) If you know me personally, you know that I call myself disgustingly optimistic. You will understand how true that is when you read my story tomorrow!

Why February 9th? I had several years where February 9th would come around, and I would always try to figure out what was so special about that day. I would rack my brain ALL DAY long trying to figure out what it was. It drove me crazy for several years! When Jack and I decided to get married, (I refused until I graduated from college) he suggested that we get married around my birthday. Ok actually he suggested to get married ON my birthday, but there is no way that would ever happen! I suggested we look at the calendar. Feb 9th landed on one of the following Saturdays after my birthday. It clicked! That is what was so important about that day! That was when the decision was made!

Day 36!

I don't know what it has been about this weekend! I have been absolutely HORRIBLE! I ate horribly today, and I didn't even make it to the grocery store. I am ready for breakfast tomorrow with Breakfast Cheesecake, so I KNOW that will get me back on the right track! I will spare you the horrible foods I ate today. Just know there were lots of carbs and fat involved! I didn't even exercise. I have just been craving everything!

I did get two kick ass deals today though! Someone had left two bedside tables and a bed frame outside for the taking! We took the tables! I have been wanting some, since we moved out here! Then we went to the local thrift store and got an older Mac for like 100 bucks (monitor, keyboard, CPU). Jack spent most of the day trying to clean everything off of it, so it would officially be ours. We just have to upgrade a couple of things! It already has loads of useful programs on it! YAY!

I have to go to the Tustin store in the morning. :( Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the store, but I have 4 other stores that need my attention. I just don't think it is fair that I have to go to this store 3 days this week! I can't wait for them to ask me to work overnight Tuesday. That is a big negatory! It is bad enough that I even have to work on Tuesday! I was planning on taking the day off to spend with Jack. It is our anniversary after all! Rrrr! We would usually be in Gatlinburg right now. :( I would love to be there right now.

Day 35.5

I have been HORRIBLE today! I mean horrible! I started my day off with a 100% Whole Grain Wheat bagel! It slid from there! I ate a piece of pizza from last night (it was like a 3x3 square-thin crust). We went to Jack's friends' house. They were having a party. Dave cooked chili, and he was going to make cornbread but was missing an egg. I suggested cornbread casserole instead. Jack and I went to the grocery store to pick up a can of whole corn. He picks up a chicken salad croissant because he is hungry. I ate a pulled off piece of that (croissant and all). They grill out hot dogs. This is the worst part. I start eating a hot dog on a plain white bread bun. I don't think twice about it. I was half way through the thing when I FINALLY realized, "Hey, I shouldn't be eating this!" Then I move on the chili which would be perfectly fine, but there were Fritos nearby! I don't EVER eat Fritos with my chili. Why did I start today???? Can we please declare this weekend a holiday because of the Super Bowl? OMG! Ok so then (yeah I know right, you thought I was finished) we left Dave's to go to Jack's boss's house. We tried to contact someone to get the address, but no one answered. We headed home. Jack says, "You wanna eat mac and cheese with those steaks we bought earlier?" My reply, "Yeah, why not! I have already eaten absolutely horrible today!" What do we do when we go in to buy the mac and cheese? We grab barbeque baked beans! I don't even want to think about how much sugar was in that let alone the piece of cake I inhaled! I am so glad that tomorrow is another day. At least, I exercised.

Day 35!

I am at a weight standstill, but I remember the last time hitting a standstill around this weight too. I am hoping that, since I have incorporated exercise that I get through this lull quickly! I am determined to not give up! Last time, I got stuck here and I couldn't get over the hump. I am going to add in some spicy foods too! I hope that works! I am so ready to get closer to being under the 200 lbs mark again! I really think that will be the breakdown in tears moment. I just have to keep telling myself that I CAN do this! If I can lose 30 lbs once, I CAN do it again and once more!

I can definitely tell a difference in my body this week, since I have started exercising everyday well except for that one day. I am seriously considering going twice one day this weekend just to make up for that one day. It is really wonderful to be able to tell a difference this quickly. All of those informercials (who doesn't get drawn into watching those!) always talk about results in 6 weeks, but I am seeing results this week! I like the immediate gratification! It helps me keep going!

I actually ate a 100% whole grain this morning! If you haven't ever hit phase 2 before, you should know that it is REALLY hard to convince yourself to eat grain on purpose when you switch over. You have seen this weight loss during phase 1 that is amazing, and you really want it to keep going! Going back to losing 1 or 2 lbs a week almost makes you feel like you are failing. For instance for me this week, I haven't lost anything and all I can think about is, "What if I wouldn't have eaten those whole grains?" I haven't been brave enough to go back on fruit, but I think this week I may buy a couple of apples. I also think that after 2 weeks of phase 2 I may resort back to phase 1 for a couple of weeks. I am hoping that gets my metabolism going.

Day 34!

My husband came home tonight!!! I declared it a cheat night when he came home. I had food for me, but not for him. We ordered Dominos. It is soo good. I am eating it way too late too. I did exercise today! Yay! I believe that there has only been one day this week that I haven't exercised. Having a gym within walking distance definitely helps with the motivation.

I would also like to add that when my husband got home he mentioned how thin I looked. :) How sweet! He said he can really see it in my face! YAY! Well I am off to spend time with him!

Day 33!

It is Thursday! That means tomorrow is FRIDAY! YAY! I almost didn't go to work yesterday, but then I thought, "I don't wanna get stuck working on a Saturday!" I worked in Tustin today, and I was informed that I have to be there on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I am just screaming, "WHAT ABOUT MY OTHER STORES!?" I am also going to be thoroughly pissed if they want me to work overnight on Tuesday. I really wanted to take whatever days off that Jack has off, so we could spend time together. I haven't seen him in a week! I still don't know if he is coming back tomorrow or not. :*( I am ready to see my husband!!

I had a pretty good food day. I yet again skipped my snacks. :( I really need to stop doing that. I did cheat today. I had a ice blended coffee. I haven't been sleeping well lately, since Jack has been out of town. I really need the caffeine! On an up note, I did 35 minutes on the elliptical today! I did not have a grain today or a fruit. I really need to incorporate those items in. That requires a trip to the grocery store though, and I can't convince myself to do that.

I am still not sure about my scale situation. I am still considering buying another one. I really think that this one gets stuck, so I think I weigh less than I do. Which is totally depressing, when I think about it. My scale gets my hopes up and then shoots them back down! Rrrr!

Day 32!

That is it! I am buying a new freakin' scale! My scale says something totally freakin' different than the scale in the gym.... I am seriously hoping that the scale in the gym is not calibrated correctly! It weighs me like 10 lbs heavier than my scale! That totally aggravates me! On the plus side, I can see a difference in my body, but still! Rrrrr!

I overslept today. I wound up getting to the store I was supposed to be at at around 1 this afternoon. I had breakfast cheesecake, a cobb salad, chili..I skipped snacks today. Waking up late totally threw that off. I did go get on the elliptical for 30 minutes tonight! I am sure that sleep is not in my near future, but at least I burned some calories!

Jack is still out of town. :( I am so ready for him to be home! He may have to stay out there until Sunday. I can't stand it! I didn't have him for 2 months over the summer because he was already out here, and I was still in Tennessee. I don't like being without him. I was ok during those 2 months, but I also had my parents and friends right down the street.

Day 31!

I changed my ticker! You can actually read it now. I changed my total goal weight. I added 10 more pounds. Sooooooo as you can see from my ticker my scale tells me that I am down 30 lbs. I am planning on stepping on the scale in the gym today, so I will find out how correct my scale really is. I am hoping that it is right!

I am soooo tired! I haven't been to sleep yet! I couldn't sleep last night, so I just stayed up and got ready for work and went. I am thinking it is almost nap time though. I don't know how much longer I will be able to stay awake.

My food for the day has been pretty good today (aside from my sugar caffeine fix) I had Breakfast Cheesecake, cheese, 1/4 of a Rye bagel, and now it is around lunch time sooo I am going to eat some chili.

Day 30!

Hello day 30! After no sleep last night, I went to work. I had Breakfast cheesecake when I got up and then I ate half of a rye bagel for "lunch." Lunch was at 9 this morning. I cheated today, but I had only had like 30 minutes of sleep. I really needed the caffeine. I don't do regular coffee, so I had a Caramel Frio from Peek's Coffee. Sugar and caffeine rush. I got home around 1, and I weighed myself. I don't know why I weighed myself, but I did. I am down 28 lbs! YAY GO ME! 30 days in and 28 lbs down! Ahh! WHOOT WHOOT!

I went and got on an elliptical after I woke up and ate dinner tonight (Turkey and Black bean chili). I was watching TV, and it was like the elliptical was calling my name! Jennifer stop watching TV...you know you want to come exercise. Sooooo I did!

My computer currently has a virus on it, so I am screaming for my husband to come home and get it off! JEEZ! I tried to fix it, but it won't even let the programs run that I need to run to get it off of my computer! BEWARE OF INTERNET SECURITY 2010 it is FAKE! I didn't actual download it. I actually managed to get it from some site I went to, but I just thought I would forewarn you anyway.
