Middle of day 2!

I was totally unprepared for breakfast this morning. I wound up eating a spoonful of natural peanut butter. At least I ate something! If you aren't prepared and you have to go to work, it is never a good thing. I forgot my cheese that I wanted for my first snack and then I ate the second snack (peanuts I always have a little baggie in my purse) around the time I should have been eating lunch. I am about to heat up the black bean soup that I made last night, so I will finally have something real on my stomach! Peanuts and peanut butter keep me full, but it is definitely not enough food.

I am not tired today which is very strange. I thought on day 2 I would want to fall out, but I am doing pretty well so far. Hopefully I won't wind up tired and taking a nap. I have found that sleep is really important with this diet. If I can get in a decent amount of sleep the night before, I can always tell the difference on the scale in the morning. Oh by the way, I did in fact step on the scale this morning. I know, I know you aren't supposed to, but it is really fun watching the lbs fall off the first couple of weeks. It really motivates you to not cheat. Anyway the scale hasn't moved but maybe the normal weight fluctuation which is to be expected only 2 days in. Maybe tomorrow! After I eat my extra late lunch, I just need to get motivated to walk at least one of the dogs around the block. I will let ya know how that goes!

  1. My hubby is diabetic, and dietitian recommended South Beach for him, as did his Doc. Problem is, he needs to lose alot, as do I, but he also needs to start at phase 2 for the diabetes thing. We are into day 2, doing good. I just add to his meals and stick to the initial phase for me. Good luck. Expensive, time consuming, but healthy. That wins out.

  2. Good luck to you! Diabetes runs in my family, so I am trying to make the difference before it happens to me.
