Hi new followers and readers! Thanks for reading!
I had to put a picture on this post because Marcy in the SBD group said something about being a Southern girl! YAY! When she mentioned this and enjoying hearing about my adventures out here in CA, I thought to myself. Have I told them what happened to my husband in the office at our apt complex the other day? I am not sure if I did, but I'm going to now. I apologize if this is a restatement. My husband went into the main office last Sunday to ask for a parking pass for his new car. The person at the front counter actually had the nerve to make fun of his accent! They mimicked him, and asked (this is the best part of all because it really shows the person's ignorance to the state of TN), "Well what in the tarnation are you doin' all the way out here in CA?" Have you ever heard anyone in TN use the word tarnation in regular conversation? If I know someone out here and they make fun of my accent, it does not bother me one bit. When someone I don't know does it, I just want to smack them across the face. It is almost like they think that we are not intelligent because we are from Tennessee! You should see their faces when you tell them that something is more technologically advanced in the south! For instance! Out here you do not get your driver's license on the same day! You have to wait 2 weeks to get it! In TN, you get your driver's license a couple of minutes after you take your photo! Another difference! The theaters out here are not all stadium seating! Almost all of the theaters in TN are stadium seating. If they aren't, chances are they are the cheap theaters! I miss the south. Oh excuse me the east coast. LOL That is what the Californians call it! If you say the south out here, they assume you are talking about Southern California.
I'm finished with my Southern rant for the day! I did indeed step on the scale today after specifically saying I wasn't going to! It turned out to be a good thing! WHOOT! 40 lbs! Can you believe it? I am almost half way there! Ok, honestly I know even when I hit my goal of 87 lbs, I will still not be in a healthy range, BUT I will be at my weight I was when Jack and I met! I don't want to add a higher weight loss number to it yet because I think an even higher number will look even more daunting. Soooo for now! My next goal is another 10 lbs. I am so excited! It would be awesome if I could lose another 20 lbs by the time I make my official visit to TN! My sister in law's baby shower is at the end of May, so I may try to go then! I need to renew my tags anyway!
